Assisting Recovery in the Community (ARC) is a service which provides day time opportunities for individuals with mental health issues.
ARC offers assessment and support to enable people experiencing mental health problems to access mainstream community facilities and activities as well as specialist services.
ARC has been developed as part of the modernisation of mental health services in partnership with the Bro Morgannwg NHS Trust and voluntary sector agencies.
What type of activities does ARC offer?
ARC offers a wide range of activities and support focused on the needs and choices of individual service users. These may include such things as sculpture, crafts, bowls, walking, cycling, golf, fishing, cinema, IT, education/training, volunteering and employment opportunities.
ARC continues to evolve with a continuing commitment to developing positive links with the wider community.
How can I access ARC?
Referrals to ARC come from Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) and Consultant Psychiatrists.
